brief
In its second year collaborating with the Advisory, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority deepened its commitment to nurturing Al Quoz as a thriving creative zone. Recognizing talent incubation as essential to this vision, the initiative aimed to build a dynamic, supportive ecosystem that fosters emerging creatives and startups, ultimately fueling growth and collaboration within this vibrant community.
RESPONSE
Developing programmes to attract creatives
To draw creatives to the Al Quoz Creative Zone, the Advisory hosted workshops and a makers series designed to harness our collective creativity, showcasing the exciting possibilities of collaboration.
Building a community of homegrown creative entrepreneurs
The Advisory established an incubator that invited entrepreneurs to network and share their journeys, fostering “cross-pollination” of talents and solidifying relationships. The high attendance at these events reflected a clear passion and potential within the community.
Directly supporting creative entrepreneurs & start-ups
Building on the success of the incubator, the Advisory launched the Quoz Creative Entrepreneurship Forum, providing homegrown entrepreneurs with a platform to showcase their work and access mentorship and investment opportunities. The forum featured industry leaders delivering inspiring keynotes, panel discussions, and offering valuable workshops. Additionally, a creative entrepreneurship competition with a pre-seed grant fund further supported the next generation of creative talent.
